White paper Christmas Tree

Last sunday, I helped my mother to create an inexpensive good looking Christmas Tree and I thought you might enjoy it too. It is very inexpensive because it uses only PAPER !

I love celebrating Christmas and what I like even more is to get the house ready to welcome family and friends.

Despite a pretty good idea of I wanted to create, I had a look on internet to find complementary ideas and I’ll give you the links of the how-to-do explanation.

1. Rolling Flame

I got inspired by Ellinée Journal to create 3D rolling flames. It is easy to do, less than 5 minutes per flame.

You only need :

  • A square piece of paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
Image explaning the process (thanks to Ellinée Journal).
Here she is making a complete flower but I decided to create just a simple flame and here is the result :

2. Paper Star

After that, in order to play with the magic side of Christmas, I created stars. For that I got inspired by White fish and things blog.
It’s a bit more complicated than the flame, but once you understand the move, it’s fast. It took me about 10minutes per stars after a bit of practise.
You only need :
  • 6 square pieces of paper (light is best)
  • Glue

You have to repeat 6 times the same fold of paper  explained in the PDF above :

Once that’s done, stick them together. I used hot glue for that.

Here is the result, a very symmetrical star !

3. Little Christmas tree

As I love the shape of pine trees covered in snow, I really enjoyed this one.
I got inspired by the blog 86 lemons.

To me it is the easiest of all ! it takes 2 minutes to create one tree.

You only need :

  • Some paper, any size, any shape is good
  • blade-cutter
  • scissors
  1. Fold 2 pieces of paper together and draw half of the tree shape. Cut around it like that :
  2. Use a blade-cutter to cut on the red line.

  3. Assemble the two pieces together and hang it with a little thread. And here is the result !

4. Paper Rosette

Another easy one to create. I got inspired by Torie Jayne blog.
You only need :

  • rectangle of paper
  • glue

Fold the paper in accordeon and assemble them altogether. She uses thread but I used glue. The paper rosette has been added to teh top of the Christmas tree, with little lights behind, it is a great result!

I added as well a few feather and little silver garland and fairy lights.

If your Christmas tree isn’t down yet, I hope this article has been helpfull !

Don’t forget the Christmas Giveaway going on on Facebook at the moment. You can win one of my print and discount voucher for each participant.

Merry Christmas : )
